@Martin Hagspihl It's a pretty ferocious process - renewing the RPL is straightforward (but there's a waiting list), but I think you have to to go to one of four registered training centres to get it. Then the ROC (remote operator's certificate) can only be held by a corporate entity which must effectively hire you. AFAIK this is the really expensive part of the process.

It's not great news - someone worked out that to get completely legal as an individual would cost R40-50 for the RPL, and up to R200K for the ROC.
